Hi, I’m Ronda Nicholson, founder of VerBloom Learning Studio.
VerBloom was created to provide students with hands-on STEM learning experiences that move beyond simply using technology to truly understanding and creating with it.
With over 17 years of experience in education and instructional design, I support schools and educators by designing engaging STEM programs that integrate robotics, computer systems, networking, and 3D design.
VerBloom Learning Studio is currently operating as a pilot program bringing mobile STEM experiences directly to schools while laying the foundation for a future innovation-based learning space.

At VerBloom Learning Studio, instruction is guided by the VerBloom STEM Learning Model, a structured approach that supports hands-on, real-world learning experiences.
I believe effective learning goes beyond memorization and focuses on deeper thinking, problem-solving, and creation. My work is grounded in research-based practices, including Bloom’s Taxonomy, and is designed to help students actively engage in the learning process.
Each experience is thoughtfully designed to be meaningful, hands-on, and adaptable to meet the needs of different learners and school environments.

The name VerBloom reflects growth, development, and learning progression—grounded in research-based practices like Bloom’s Taxonomy and designed to move students from understanding to thinking, planning, and creating.
This model integrates systems understanding, hands-on application, digital responsibility, and real-world connection to support meaningful STEM learning.

Current Status

Our Vision: Phase 1 & The Path Forward
VerBloom Learning Studio is currently in the Kick-Off Design Phase of development. As a mobile STEM program in the making, my heart is set on delivering hands-on experiences in robotics, networking, and digital design directly to our schools, our community family, and our friends.
I am currently seeking the grant funding necessary to bring this vision to life and officially launch Phase 1. This initial step will pave the way for our mobile programs to begin reaching students and families across the community.
The Dream for Phase 2: A Dedicated Innovation Space
As we grow, Phase 2 will expand VerBloom into a dedicated innovation space—a physical storefront designed to support long-term STEM learning, advanced prototyping, and workforce readiness. This space is all about bringing excitement to families and school-aged students. My goal is to have a studio equipped with all the technologies needed to make every program and activity truly come to life.
Bringing the Digital to Life
Every station in the storefront will reflect the page titles, images, and technologies you see right here on our website. The background images you see on each page will have the same characteristics as our future storefront stations. Students and families will rotate through each station to discover engaging STEM activities. We will even have a dedicated Networking Station set up to teach the fundamentals of computer hardware, software, and security features.
A Place to Shine
VerBloom will also feature STEM Birthday Packages that align with each lesson or activity. I want to provide a fun place where parents can bring their kids and see them light up with excitement while learning through the 5E Lesson Model:
